Michigan's state colleges and universities promptly abandoned any use of race or ethnicity to promote diversity, and minority enrollment plummeted. the idea that the voters can ban affirmative action programs through a referendum sounds fine and that there should be no problem with it since race or ethnicity should not be involved in any decision based on a school and high education.
